There was an upset in the boy's Under-13 age group of the first leg of CIMB National Junior Squash circuit when Shyan Kwan emerged as champion from being two sets down in the early stages of the game.

Beating opponent Ryan Pasqual from Penang by three sets at 11-6, 11-2 and 11-5, Shyan was ecstatic and thanked all parties who helped him made it possible including KPGCC.

"I like to thank KPGCC for allowing me to use the gym as part of my training program under the guidance of personal trainer, Mr Michael Samuel and fitness instructor, Matthew Lim. I am glad to win this National U13 title for the year. I will be trying my luck in National U15 SportExcel which will start on 19 February 2009 at Jalan Duta."

Competing in major tennis tournaments since the tender age of nine, Colin is making his way to the top while leaving a trail of trophies, certificates and prizes on the way.

Colin made his mark in April 2005 when he was named the champion of the MPPJ/STA Junior Monthly Medal singles match at the age of nine. In the same year, Colin prevailed again in the same match but in August.

In the following year, Colin was unstoppable. He entered the MBPJ/STA Junior Monthly Medal singles
match consecutively from March to July and won two of the four matches. In July, he also competed in the masters singles and prevailed above other Under-10 juniors.
